Company History
Michael Pardee founded Open Sense Solutions LLC in 2004 to bring Linux to people who weren't system administrators or computer hobbyists. He was convinced that more people would like to benefit from the security, stability, and freedom of Linux, but may not have the time and knowledge to configure printers, 3-D video, TV tuners, and other advanced features. Through years of development, our engineers have integrated open-source software with carefully-selected hardware for a stress-free enjoyable computing experience. Now, an open-source alternative to proprietary operating systems is available to everyone.

Our Mission
Open Sense Solutions is committed to offering comprehensive open-source hardware and software systems featuring Linux that meet our customers needs. Our Groovix computer systems are engineered to ensure total hardware and software capability while offering unique features such as Simultaneous Local Independent Multi-User (SLIM) capability. Our goal is to provide you with a high quality Linux computer loaded with the latest open source software that is guaranteed to work right out of the box.
Our Open Source Philosophy
All of the work done by Open Sense Solutions is Open Source. We've built our software from other peoples' contributions and hope that our work will be used by others. Although we strive to only use Open Source software, in some cases certain non-free software has practical advantages that outweigh the problems associated with restrictive software licenses. We have chosen to include hardware drivers from nVidia, web plugins from RealNetworks and Macromedia, and java software from Sun. We are always searching for Open alternatives to these proprietary products and welcome customer input on this matter.
